Marnix ten Brinke (1982) was born and raised in The Netherlands, where he still lives today, although he can be found in the Oxfordshire countryside quite often, together with his partner Steven and their little devious French bulldog called Sophie. His love for dogs is usually greater than for people... Be warned!

Marnix is a big fan of ABBA, Star Trek, James Bond, Agatha Christie, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (not so much Rowling, understatement) and much more.

Marnix has a degree in Journalism and in History, even though he considers himself more of a writer these days. His first (self-published) book in Dutch was 'De Toilettenbrigade' (The Toilet Brigade) in 2022. 

Since then, Marnix has been working on his first English language novel 'After Death Do Us Part', for which he is now looking to get it published, whilst in the meantime working on his second English language novel, a follow-up with the working title 'That What's Underneath'. 

Both novels are set in a fictional Oxfordshire village where murder and mayhem occurs. Think of Agatha Christie meeting The Vicar of Dibley. Marnix loves quirky characters, because even murder can be fun (only when it's fictional of course)!
